Who is Qualified for Employment at PPS
Our qualifications for employment include the following, at minimum:
must be a US citizen or an alien lawfully authorized to work in the United States
must pass a background check and drug screening
must have an honorable discharge from military (if served)
must meet minimum requirements of state licensing for security guard employment
must pass pre-employment verification screening
must have integrity - Vigilance - Helpfulness
must be customer service oriented
must be at least 18 years of age (21 for some positions)
must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., home phone or cell phone)
must have reliable means of transportation to and from work
must be able to effectively speak, read, and write English
must maintain a neat appearance
must be able to work overtime and on various shifts , including weekends and holidays*

A PPS employee is honest and therefore trusted to work unsupervised on the customer’s premises with valuables. PPS never compromises in its demand for integrity. Integrity also includes openly expressing one’s opinion, reporting improprieties and not withholding information.
Professionalism entails seeing, hearing and evaluating. A PPS employee is always attentive and often notices things that others don’t. Their vigilance is necessary in order to be aware of potential risks or incidents that may take place and prevent it.
When needed, a PPS employee will lend assistance, even if it is not directly related to his job. As part of an ongoing effort to make life safer, a PPS employee will always help if an incident occurs that requires intervention.
